Around the world a common phrase for paying by credit card is charge-it-to-the-plastic. Over recent decades, the desire to have whatever we want, whenever we want has risen probably in line with the credit cards popularity. With financial institutions shouting about the benefits of a credit card, it is not surprising that everyone wants at least one.

Even if you have been told that you have been chosen to receive a credit card, do not expect to go to the front of the queue as the need for a full and complete application will still be required. Do not be alarmed by this because it is necessary to verify you are who you say you are. Although there are always points to be considered when you make any credit application you must not forget fees that may be due if the acceptance is approved.
